The 3rd Youth Folk Music Team Beijing Invitational Competition sponsored by the Chinese National Orchestral Society was held at Beijing Limai School from August 5 to 8, 2005。More than 1,800 members from 34 youth folk music teams from more than 10 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia participated in the invitational competition。Tsinghua Affiliated High School Chinese Orchestra won the highest award for middle school band - Sunshine Award;Teacher Hu Jun won the command award。

The Beijing Folk Music Team Invitational Competition is an exhibition activity organized by China National Orchestra Society to promote the popularization and development of folk music and to exchange the construction of youth non-professional folk music teams。Since it was held in 2001, it has received more and more attention from Chinese mainland and overseas folk music teams。
